Matching family Easter Clothes
Easter 2013 was a celebration of gifts, miracles and life.
The gift of life.
The gift of salvation.
The gifts of children and family.
The miracle of the resurrection.
The miracle of reconciliation.
The miracle of Auguste.
Our Savior who lives!
Our new lives as followers of Jesus!
Our new baby boy whose life is evidence that God still works miracles!

Lots of our extended family gathered to attend the Easter morning service at a little church in Winter Haven pastored by my Uncle Joel and Aunt Martha. Aunt Martha and a group of prayer warrior women from that church were so faithful in praying for my sister and baby Auggie, which made it especially special that Auggie was dedicated at the beginning of the service. Lisa shared Auggie’s story.
Uncle David acknowledged God’s sovereignty over our family and the miraculous gift we've been given in Auggie. He charged Lisa and Mickey to lead their children spiritually. We prayed they will make wise and Godly decisions in their parenting and that Auggie will grow to be a man of God and see God’s perfect will fulfilled in his life.
After the song service and dedication, the children were invited to a special Easter lesson and egg hunt. The grown-ups stayed in the sanctuary where Uncle Joel brought the message.
The afternoon was spent taking pictures of ourselves in our new Easter clothes and enjoying a big family dinner at the local Red Lobster. It was a lovely day.
The girls and I again wore matching "Lilly" Easter dresses, a little tradition I started last year and hope to observe for many years to come.

I just remembered I was on a blogging hiatus last spring and didn’t post Easter pictures. Here are a few from last year. Look how my girls have grown! Maybe next year we’ll do coordinating bow ties for the boys?
We are blessed!

Updates from NewMeAt39 (now)
Good morning all!
I read through the thread from Monday; congrats to those of you who ran in races last weekend!
I wanted to provide an update from NewMeVille. Yes, I did turn 39 this weekend. Since my 38th birthday, I have lost approx 75 lbs, and my measurements are smaller than any other time in my adult life. I can run, skate, and swim. I can sit in a plane seat, a seat at Fenway,...riving through some pretty tough weather.
All in all, an amazing weekend. Other than the cheesesteak, DiFo friendly for the vast majority of the time. But back on it today, including an appointment with the trainer tonight to work on a plan to go from 5K to 10K in 7 weeks.
Thank you all for your kind words and support over the past year. You have made a real difference in my success!
Emeraldspark, I really feel for you. With exes, I usually find that the less detail I know, the better off I am. It sounds like you've been overexposed to the details of her life and their relationship - and the comparisons are killing you. I'm so sorry that you've had to be inundated with all of those details.
I think a little excitement at being contacted by an ex is perfectly normal, so...om your husband regarding contact with the ex. Make an effort to win the friends over - YOU invite them over to the house, or out on the town. In short, go out there and grab that bull by the horns!! Life's too short to live in this woman's shadow forever!
You're the one he sleeps with at night and that he tells his problems to. I'd take the reality over the fantasy any day. You CAN do it.
Yes, they do, especially online....
As an online dating veteran, I can tell you that women, especially in certain geographic regions, get inundated with emails and, worse, "winks" - those two second pokes that require absolutely no thought or personality on the part of the sender. So wanna_be has a great point about the numbers of responses women have to sift through and the unfortunately limited chance you have to make a positive...en there.
Whatever you do, don't give up and try to have some fun! When it comes to attractiveness, a big smile and a good attitude go a *very* long way....
(Oh, and on the weight thing. I've always been slender, but actually prefer guys on the heftier side...more to hang onto, you know? ;-) So, if that's the case, don't let weight be your hangup...takes all types.)
